Fort Moultrie Liberty 100% Old 1776 Colonial Flag Pattern 3x5 Feet Brass Grommets

The Fort Moultrie Flag, also called the Liberty Flag, is a significant Revolutionary War banner from South Carolina, featuring a blue field with a white crescent in the corner, often with the word "LIBERTY" inscribed on it, symbolizing the state's defense of Charleston against the British in 1776, and inspiring South Carolina's modern state flag. Designed by Colonel William Moultrie, the crescent might represent a piece of neck armor (gorget) or the crescent moon, with the word added later, becoming a potent symbol of Southern resilience and freedom.
